The Expansion Region is a region of the galaxy located between the Inner Rim and the Mid Rim. With competition for resources in the days of galactic exploration, there came a need to expand. Thus, the Expansion Region was named, home to newer colonies sponsored by their coreward neighbors. The region saw several major battles during the Clone
Wars, including the prolonged struggle for Mimban early in the war and the historic campaign for Umbara in the Ghost Nebula. During the Imperial Era, much of the Expansion Region joined the Galactic Empire, with Diles Anevi serving as its regional governor up until ten years after the Empire’s formation.
This symbol marks a world that was first created for a canon literary source (reference books, novels, young adult novels, etc.) Other entries with literary sources have Legends counterparts.
This symbol marks a world that was ‘canonized’ in a recent Fantasy Flight Games roleplaying sourcebook. Wookieepedia considers the FFG material fully canon but its mix of Legends and canon content puts it somewhere in the middle. I decided to include these worlds in the Archive, for inclusiveness.
This symbol marks an entry as a moon. And since moons can be just as populated and culturally or historically significant as a planet (think Nar Shaddaa and Yavin IV), the distinction was important.
This symbol marks an entry as a moon and created for a canon literary source.
This symbol marks a world that saw significant military conflict during the Clone Wars (22 BBY - 19 BBY).
This symbol marks a world that saw significant military conflict during the Galactic Civil War (0 BBY - 5 ABY).
This symbol marks a world that saw significant military conflict during the war between the First Order and the Resistance (34 ABY - ? BBY).
If a world's only "canon" source in Wookieepedia is The Force Awakens Beginner Roleplaying Game, it will not be included in this collection.

Often known as simply Dhandu, Dhandu 3 was the third of three moons that orbited the planet Dhandu. It was home to the Turlossus, a massive six-legged reptilian species. Because the creatures were so massive that any structures built on the ground were at risk of being crushed under their feet, inhabitants of the moon built their cities on top of the Turlossus' flat shells.
Different parts of the cities
were connected by bridges and catwalks that could be raised
and lowered. The moon was also home to the sentient Dhanduese,
a flightless, feathered avian species. Sporting grassy terrain,
Dhandu 3 was known for its very low gravity, and visitors to
the moon were required to wear gravity weights in order to
walk safely. (Pirate's Price)

A terrestrial world where the haneli flower was found. The flower had a number of uses, including in the creation of teas. During the time of the New Republic, drought on Haneli caused the price of the haneli flower to increase substantially. Because of the drought, a genetic science professor at an
academy on the Mid Rim world Eroudac hired one of her students, Izal Garsea, to smuggle a quantity of the flowers
for her. Garsea was caught while attempting to carry the flowers aboard her starship, the Meridian, and
abandoned the cargo, choosing not to return to the academy. (A Crash of Fate)
